The cigarette did it's job, he felt less stiff and more open to be spending his time doing this. Her question was a bit difficult to answer. He supposed that she never been to church. Before juvie, his family used to attend but that was before they all went crazy. "Well... you walk in." They walked in. Inside there were the stained color glass windows allowing light into the dimly lit building. "Then... you make the sign of the cross." he dipped his finger into the small standing ball next to the door. He made the sign of the cross. "And you sit." he sat down, scooting over for her to have room.
"They'll call out the page number in these books and you can sing along with the choir." he gestured to the song books. "Then they read from the bible, the preacher talks about it. More singing..." he lowered the kneelers and kneeled down. "The priest then holds out the bread and wine. You kneel, then stand up to pray with everyone else."
He was rather quiet speaking, the silent echoing church asked for it. "Then... everyone who's had first communion goes up there. Otherwise, you stay seated. Then for about another ten minutes, the priest talks. There's a final song and it's over." Looking around, he gestured to a small room in the corner. "That's where you can have confession. And there's a small pamplet brochure stand back there, with prayers and faqs... Stuff like that. So that's... mass. It lasts for about fourty-five minutes to an hour."

Charlotte listened intently, taking it in as he spoke. She tried to imagine it in her head and knew she'd probably come at least once to see what it was like. It sounded nice. She knew about the Bible but didnt know what he meant when he started talking about bread and wine. She felt kind of ignorant, like she should know this stuff but she didn't say anything. She wanted him to keep explaining. "It sounds nice." her voice sounded funny in the empty chapel and for some reason she felt like she should be quiet, not that she wasnt usually. Her eyes slowly shifted from one thing to the next, questions popping into her head with nearly everything she saw but Charlotte didnt ask them. Bombarding Dylan with them didnt seem like something she wanted to do at the moment. It was peaceful in here though, and she really liked that.
"Confession?" Charlotte blurted without realizing until after she'd spoken. The word brought images of police interrogations or a court room or something to her mind. She didnt understand, but the echo of her voice back at her made her blush and regain her sheepish expression.
Despite all the confusion, Charlotte wanted to know more. Maybe there was some kind of class or something she could take. It was a school after all, if they had a church they had to have teachers about it too right? She certainly hoped to find out. Her eyes betrayed her eagerness but other than that, she remained the same quiet girl that she was.

It was good to be listened too. Dylan was surprised by it actually. No one ever listened to him, he was almost ready to shut up. He nodded. "Yeah it is... It's peaceful." he said, crossing his arms and sitting back. Looking at her eyes, she looked interested. So it wasn't any sort of joke or anything. But he had to wonder what her story was. The thought came to him, soon enough give a day or two, or week, she'd hear what's being said about him. Then she'll probably assume she knew his story. It was disappointing but what could he do. Right now, he'd just answer her question. "Yeah, you can confess sins to a priest in private. It's sort of a way to find forgiveness with God. Not everyone believes in doing that, everyone interprets the bible in different ways. But they do offer that here." That was one thing he hadn't done here yet. He wouldn't know where to begin and almost felt indignant with himself for feeling a need to do it. It wasn't him who had the problem.... Well, yeah he did but.... "Want to see the rest of the school?" he asked.
ooc; rushed and short sorry gal. make it up later.
