ooc; dylan's gotta redeem himself dude! i want him, charlie, and maybe even dallas to be friends. =D
Dylan was still on his art free spree. That means no art, no sketches, no art books out, no art museum trips, no doodles, nothing. It was hard, I mean if only he had someone sane to hang out with to distract him. Instead it was either Zaley following him around, freaking him out or playing dares with Kara, except that was no longer fun. She was out of control now and Dylan was barely hanging on.
Bored out of his mind but at the same time in a surprisingly good mood, he spent his lunch break playing game boy in his dorm. He took the last few sips offered from his bottle of vodka he stole from the high ground. The game battery died, reaching into his desk drawer for some new batteries he found the drawing. Oh yes, the drawing. It was a very detailed realism sketch of Charlotte and Dallas smiling sweetly to one another. It was a little sick how much they dug each other but it was definitely picture worthy. When he first drew it, Dylan was feeling heavy with guilt over what happened the first time he met Dallas. Looking to his watch, it was the time when Charlotte usually went to lunch.
This totally broke his rules. He took the sketch and walked on to the dining room. He tried not to come around here as much anymore, it made him feel uncomfortable and vunerable. All the people and the thought of seeing Lacey, Jaycie, Zaley, Stefano or Kara... Hell, he was ready for Lacey to go crazy again and shoot him... Wishing he instead stayed inside his dorm adn drank some more, he found Charlotte at her usual table. Her usual new crowd was absent- Dallas, Blaze and the rest fo their band buddies weren't around at the moment. Blaze was probably writing 'I will not ...' phrases on the chalkboard with Dallas loyal help. "This seat taken?" he asked Charlotte. Did he have to admit his wrong and say he was sorry again? This sucks but it would be worth it, right? I mean, he really missed her honest friendship. [/blockquote]

Charlie was writing. Dallas and Blaze and their other friends all were busy for lunch that day so Charlotte was chilling out and working on a song. Neat little pencil notes decorated the staffs and words followed along underneath most of them. There was evidence of a lot of erasing going on. The girl was so intent on her work she had almost forgotten about her lunch. Finally, she set her pencil down and nibbled on a fry thoughtfully, staring into space.
Suddenly a voice broke through her reverie and Charlotte was brought back down to earth. It took a moment of stunned surprise to realize what had just happened. "Dylan!" she exclaimed with a smile, briefly flashing pearly whites. "of course not, sit down" she insisted, cleaning up her stuff off the table so she wasnt taking up so much space. Dylan was lucky Charlotte was in such a good mood lately. She could feel herself changing with all this crazy new stuff going on in her life. She had missed Dylan a lot and even though she had been holding on to a lot of misery before, she was starting to let go of things and forget. Charlie had been too uncertain of what to say to Dylan before so she had just let him have his space. Meanwhile she was proving to him and herself that she could be better, stronger, and she was feeling great lately. Dallas might have a tiny contribution to this.
"I missed you." Charlotte said a little quieter and blushed a little, giving a sheepish smile as she twirled her pencil slowly between her fingers. "Whats up?"

Her eyes were so glued to her notebook that he had frightened her. He smirked a little, "Sorry." He was so surprised and relieved when she smiled. What was he expecting? She was too nice to carry grudges was she? But he would've at least thought she'd be nervous or something. He had been a real moody asshole lately. Anyone else just a little less nice would've not welcomed him to sit with them. He was really lucky to know her. She was an influence he wanted. He really did want to be more like her especially now. Now it seems she had a brand new inspired strength about her. Where did she find it? Dallas maybe?
He sat down. 'I missed you' He hadn't expected that. It was a surprise, a good surprise though. He had been missed. Well, he had certainly missed her. He smiled without the usual cynicism of a smirk. Sitting with her washed alot of his nervousness about being out here away. It suddenly felt a little safer. He just wished he could say what was really on his mind; 'what's up?' Had she completely forgotten what he said to her and Dallas? Was she taking bad pills? haha, just kidding;. He was over that for he was now a hypocrit.
"I felt bad about the other day outside. It was a jerky thing to do and I'm sorry. Guess I owe an apology to Dallas too..." Hm, to dallas... it felt most important that Charlotte heard the apology though. "I mean, I really felt bad because I ended up drawing something up. It's not great but, I thought you'd like it since you and Dallas are now together or whatever." He withdrew the folded picture from his pocket and handed the sketch over. It was proof that he had felt remourse over his behavior, not only that but just the guilt of feeling that it would only happen again the next time he was in one of his bad moods. Which came more frequently these days. "How's music?" [/blockquote]

Charlie was in fact nervous, and if Dylan didnt seem to notice then that was good, she supposed. They hadnt exactly parted on pleasant terms and a lot of drama had ensued but she missed the normal Dylan she had first met. She felt a little awkward, not sure what to say, because she wasnt exactly sure where Dylan was mentally. When he started apologizing she felt quite relieved. There was a little surprise too, but mostly a lot of appreciation for what he was doing. Charlotte was aware of how difficult apologizing could be for people like him.
"Its okay, I forgive you" Charlie smiled, looking over at what he was unfolding. "Aww, thank you Dylan," and with that she leaned over and hugged him. "Its great, thank you" Charlotte really did love the drawing and that he was making an effort. Both of them were making a lot of progress with their faults.
"Music is going gooood." she smiled "Mr B wants me to play one of my pieces at the spring concert," Charlotte was excited about this. The music classes, such as band and choir were both performing but her teacher wanted her to have her own solo and Charlie was pumped about it.

It was awkward despite the forgiveness and friendliness. But he was in such a light mood that it didn't bother him as much as it usually would. But damn, he hated apologizing. But if it meant being friends with Charlie again, it would be worth it.
And there it was, forgiveness. It made him very glad that she liked the sketch. He hoped it would make her feel that he was happy for them. The time outside, was just him being a bitch. It was inexcuseble, he wasn't going to kid himself about it. While was cussing him out, he knew it was wrong. Still, he did it. Just the way he was sometimes. Charlie knew that by now and seemed to have seperated herself from being too emotionally upset by it.
Actually, she did seem different. More strong in fact. But what was great was that even with new strength, it didn't compromise her kind disposition. He remembered how she stuck up for Dallas. Yeah, he didn't even think about that before. Obviously the music was a real boost to her confidence. She was so proud about it and with good reason. She was talented! He grinned, impressed. "Wow, congrats. I'll have to go!" he said. [/blockquote]
