Ah... personailty, doesn't everyone have one? Shadow's is more of a demonic outlook on life than anything. It might just be her name, or it may just be her. She's the darkest person in her family, keeping herself locked in her room.
Several things are wrong with her mind, drugs, and wanting to kill herself are basically the main stream. She feels that if there is something you need to say to her, you best say it before she makes you say it. There is a lot of anger in this little child, but she knows she needs help, and she wants it, or so she thinks.
Some say she just needs someone to love her, seeing as her parents were never around. She loves the thought of waking up in the morning and having someone there, someone to care, that wasn't her parents, whom tried to "care".
She cares not for her family anymore, but for someone else to love and be with, someone to make her life more normal, well as normal as it can be. She's quiet for the most part, outspoken when she feels the need and listens intently to what others say. Shadow has a big heart, she just needs to remember how to use it.
Shadow knows not to let something get her too down, but with everything that was going around at home and in school. Oh, did I forget to say this, she has a tendency to believe she sees spirits, or ghost, literally dead people wandering around, and she really does see them, most just think she is playing around. The Spirits attack her, or so she thinks, that may just make her crazy.
Shae isn't the most friendly person in the world, she'd rather be left alone to sleep all day than spend her time in classes or in the outside world. She is more of a night person, ready most of the time to sleep all day then stay up all night. She can be kind though, when you reach out to her good side or just find a way into her head. She is strong though, with the will to keep going and the power to stand up to whom she needs to.

As a teen, she never thinks she's pretty. She is either overtired, too skinny or overweight, though everyone tells her she is find. Her hair is dark blond that reaches her waist, sometimes straight, sometimes curly. She believes her blue eyes are too dull to be blue, and are more of a gray, though that is the complete opposite of what they are. To her, she is too pale, and she may actually be, but most of the time she is find with what she is.
Shae has one tattoo on her back that is just about where her jeans usually reach. No piercings, seeing as she didn't think those would be necessary. There is a small brown dot on her right temple, normally hidden by her hair though. She is short, about 5'2" and weighs about 119lbs, a normal weight for her height and her small framed body. Her mouth is small and her nose is normal, normal sized ears and somewhat small eyes, or so she thinks. She isn't flat chested, no, definitively not, then again, that's genetics. Shae has long legs, even for her short size, and is able to walk quickly and surely.

One history that may seem long is that of Shadow. She was born on December 15th, but she started to be ignored from birth. She was fed and cared for by her mother until she was five, then her mother went back to work, her father ignored Shadow more and her older brother Alexander took care of her. Shae's parents were never home and when they were, she wasn't allowed to speak.
When Shadow was five, she started to see what she knew as Spirits of other people. Some were kind and others were evil, attacking her when they could. Whenever she would scream, they would run, knowing her brother was coming and would start to think his sister was going crazy. That went on for about two years and then stopped for a while. They started to appear again when she was ten, coming around rarely, but still there, when kids at school found out, they mocked her more then when she was found crying in the bathroom after being bullied. She was mocked until around the age of fourteen, when she started to think suicide. Everyday was another idea of how to get out of this dreaded life of torment from her parents and kids at school.
Shae spoke with her brother, whom had told her to hang in there just one more year, then he would take her away. When he tried though, her parent's fought anything that Alex tried to do and Shae was left behind. She got in with the wrong crowds, found the wrong things and was mocked at the wrong time, and when she was 15 and her brother left, something started to appear more often than not. It worried, especially when she would wake up in the middle of the night and wait for them to come, and when they did, she would let them attack her. While the scratched and tore, she would cry silently, glad when they had gone, but only to do that to herself the next day.
Alex was worried, and when she was sixteen, he took her by force, making sure she wasn't going to be hurt anymore, though he didn't know what was going on at school. Drugs came into play, not many, but some. Alcohol was involved and some beatings were taken, at one point, Alex almost found out something, but thought she was trying to join a gang by doing something she wasn't supposed to. He was wrong though and when he first caught Shae cutting herself, he knew what he would do, send her away here, where she can rest and try to get her mind clear. She still has visits from the spirits from time to time, but she hopes that will stop.
